I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that Kara Perez has signed with John Wiley & Sons for her debut book, Green Money: Reduce Waste, Build Wealth, and Save the Planet. We signed the deal in mid-December with acquiring editor Judith Newlin.

You'll know Kara as the founder of Bravely Go, where she teaches personal finance through a holistic, feminist, environmentalist lens. Through her work as a financial coach and environmental activist, Kara has become an expert on the intersection of money and all things green. In her debut work of nonfiction, she's going to bring together these two passions to teach her audience how to use their money to help the world go green.

I'm truly proud of Kara. She's been a dream to work with through the proposal and pitching stages. So it almost felt too good to be true when we clicked with Judith at Wiley. It was instantly clear to us that Green Money had found a home with an editor and a publishing house that understood her vision and would shepherd the book to publication with care and enthusiasm. I know Kara's in good hands, and I can't wait to see the finished product.

And of course, nothing makes this agent giddier than seeing the result of months of work appear in the paper of record: Publishers Marketplace!
